What were the classical music sounds of the Cold War? How did American and Soviet composers deal with shifting political tides, conflicting ideology, and government interference? Come join Parlando on a sonic journey through the defining conflict of the last 75 years.
 
Works include Aaron Copland’s Nonet for Strings, Edvard Mirzoyan’s Symphony for String Orchestra and Timpani, and Mieczysław Weinberg’s Concertino for Violin and String Orchestra performed by Aubree Oliverson.
