With the arrival of spring, the energy of renewal and regeneration is in the air. The program opens with the Barber of Seville Overture by the master of dramatic and comedic exuberance, Gioachino Rossini. Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4 is expansive in scope, a work full of conflict between powerful fanfares and hauntingly beautiful melodies, which finds resolution in a finale of limitless possibility and triumph.
